| To celebrate Rio+20, the National Parks Board organised the inaugural Festival of Biodiversity on 26th and 27th May 2012. Held at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Botany Centre, the event educated the public on our natural heritage and efforts undertaken by the community in conserving and enhancing our biodiversity. The Festival included a Singapore marine biodiversity exhibition, the City in a Garden - 'Biodivercity' photography competition exhibition, a mini-symposium and other fringe events. | | | | WRS set up a booth at the Festival of Biodiversity to showcase the local projects that WRSCF supports and educate the public on native wildlife. Life-like taxidermised animals such as the pangolin, civet cat, colugo and long-tailed macaque were exhibited at the booth to generate interest in the public on the native inhabitants of our forests. Children were also invited to try their hands at the conservation-themed games with an opportunity to win some prizes. | | | | | |
